Home with Mesa

More Camping Pictures

A Day of Camping with Daddy

Scott took Sierra on up on a camping adventure with our new friends in Oregon. They hiked up to 5 waterfalls and thoroughly enjoyed seeing more of Oregon's beauty! Mesa, Benjamin and I stayed home and enjoyed quiet walks to the park and our nap times! We will soon venture out also when we get a little older so the whole campground can enjoy sleep too:)!

One happy baby!

Brooklyn brings out the best in Benjamin bringing him to full giggles! I couldn't resist posting this! He turned 6 months old just a few days ago!

My brown eyed girl

Well... one of them!

That's what sisters are for!

Here is Sierra "dressing up" her sister! Too funny!

Cousins

Our Father's day weekend included a wonderful visit from Mark and Laurel and family! What a joy to have so many children underfoot to remind us how special these men are in our life. Wish we had gotten some better pictures! We had a blast!

Memories of my daddy...

Being carried by my daddy, counting my ribs, his heavy class ring thumping my head during after church visiting, getting in the car for vacations with a declaration that "We will have fun!", Friday night family night, waking up to strong arms carrying me into the home after a day at the beach, looking into my daddy's tear filled eyes as he baptized me since I was too short to look over the baptistery, singing together as a family, listening to my daddy's voice every Sunday as he taught us about Jesus, going across our neighborhood inviting families to our church, holding his hand as he walked me down the aisle where the bridge began from yesterday to today... these are just some of my favorite memories with my daddy! Thank you for being my daddy, but more than that, always pointing me to my "Abba" Father! Happy Father's Day!
Love, your little girl

A day at Church

I thought you might enjoy some pictures of our Wednesday night journey of discipleship program. Scott has been doing an amazing job tying God's word to our hearts through a very interactive and engaging format asking the question, "What does it mean to be a disciple?"

Happy Father's Day!

A man to admire, A love still on fire.

A daddy to love, Sent from above.

A respect for no other, From the heart of this mother.

His number one fan, Is held by this clan.

Noble and true always a part, For he is a man after God's heart.

Leading with strength and gentle care, Quick to his knees in faithful prayer.

Who would thought life would be this way, Cherishing my man every single day.

Privileged and honored is this heart of mine, To have this man be the father of nine!

I'm watching...

Brother, sister... I want to be like you! I'm watching and learning what life is all about...how you obey mommy, how to add numbers, how to throw the ball, do you love Jesus? Soon, I won't be just watching. My little feet will take big steps as I stumble to catch up to you as you follow mommy and daddy! I'm watching and waiting to be just like you!

Embracing Motherhood

I love this quote from Nancy Cambell, "What does it mean to embrace motherhood? It means to put your arms around it and hug it tightly, to totally accept it, to make it your life work!"

Drum Roll Please....

Michael is 20!!!!!!!!!! Our family had a party last night complete with decorations made by lots of little hands to help celebrate our dear Michael's birthday! All of the decorations were made in view of our web cam so that although we are miles away from Michael in this season, he would know what a blessing he is to us! This momma's heart longed to have him close as this was his first birthday away, but we are so thankful for the young man he is becoming! Keep shining for Jesus, Michael! We love you! Happy birthday, son!

Mesa and her microphone

This is a video of Mesa singing into her microphone at worship practice last week! Precious!

All the credit goes to...

Here is a rare photo of Casey. It is rare because he is the one always taking the picture! Yes, it's true, every photo posted here on this blog was taken by Casey! The credit goes to him! Great job, son!

A day in the mind of Sierra

"Thank you for the sea, and the babies, and the angels, with their hats..." In case you were wondering, Sierra was referring to their halo:) Below you will find picture proof that Sierra can attach her own artwork to the refrigerator all by herself!

16 and sweet!

Kaylee turned sweet 16 on Saturday! I had the privilege of keeping her all to myself as this time, we went on a mommy adventure! Our family surprised her with an overnight stay just me and her (oh, and our little chaperon, Benjamin:) We laughed, scrap booked, watched a "girls" movie, sat in the spa, did our hair and make up and just enjoyed our time together! After heading to the mall for a little shopping, we met up with two of the most important men in her life for dinner, her brother and Dad! We have a newlywed couple in our church who graciously agreed to come play with the littles so we could have the rare opportunity of having us "older" ones all together! Then we headed home for presents and cake as a family. It was a blessed time, one I know we both will treasure for a lifetime! As she would say, the only thing missing from the weekend was a surprise visit from her older brother Michael whom she misses terribly! In addition to her wish, I longed for a night where time stood still, for it's all happening so fast! Happy Birthday, Kaylee! May you keep growing into the lovely, Godly young woman you are becoming right before our very eyes!

Hot off the press

Here it is...Casey did a great job of capturing our little man, drool and all! As you can see, his eyes are wide, taking it all in! On top of his heart melting smiles that start at the eyes and follow to his toes, he can add rolling over both ways to his list of accomplishments! With a little help, he can even sit up. We'll keep you posted if all that drool results in any teeth:)!
