Casey and Scott have been busy building a chicken tractor for our chickens. We wanted something that we could protect our chickens from any predators (including our little Golden Retriever puppy) and to keep them from roaming over to our neighbors yard, yet be easy to move around our yard. Scott used lumber that the church was getting rid of from some old shelving. It is great to have a large shop where we can work on projects and stay dry from the rain. Of course, they had some great helpers and don't you think our caged animals are cute:)! The chickens love their new home! I will post some pictures of the real chickens soon!

He is Risen!
Along with all of you, we celebrated our Lord's death, burial and Resurrection this past Sunday! The Lord gave us a beautiful, sunny, warm day to bask in the real meaning of Easter! This year, the sacrifice that Jesus endured on our behalf held a deeper meaning for me. The feeling of injustice is probably one of the hardest things that I have endured in life
. Those times when I have felt misunderstood or wrongfully judged with little regard for the accuser trying to understand my feelings is like swallowing a mountain pills at one time. Truth be told, because I am not perfect, there is probably an element of truth in the accusation, even if it is mostly untrue. But not for my Lord! To be beaten and condemned, everyone thinking that He truly had done things worthy of death when there was not even an ounce of truth in their accusation, must have felt so unfair, so hurtful. Yet, he endured for the our sake! And ultimately rose above death and condemnation, bringing life into those hurtful accusations and walking in victory not just on that day but everyday after for Him and for us! I am so thankful for his willingness to sacrifice so much for me (and for you, of course:)! We celebrated all day with an awesome Easter worship service, family fun through egg hunts, food and my favorite...chocolate! Another favorite memory of the day was during our communion time at church. Scott had someone carry a cross to the stage, hook the cross to some rope as Casey was behind stage and "belayed" the cross to a suspended position, hanging above the stage. What an incredible visual it was to remember His sacrifice that day so many years ago! Here are some fun "Resurrection Day"pictures of our day!
