Through the eyes of a baby...

Benjamin River, 10 months old! I can crawl EVERYWHERE, put EVERYTHING in my mouth, and put ANYONE under my spell by simply flashing my adorable grin, dimples included! I LOVE to watch and learn from my brothers and sisters and am ABSOLUTELY in love with my momma! I would rather have her than ANYTHING! In fact, I'd rather sleep with her at night and daddy says that the king size bed is really mine! I think he's pretty cool too! I aspire to walk sometime around my birthday and figure that my endless energy will help my momma stay in shape! I can't wait for CHRISTmas just around the corner. I think I will be the perfect height to help with constant redecorating just to keep everyone in the CHRISTmas spirit! But don't worry, I'll just flash my grin and all will be settled! I just LOVE the adventure of life!

A visit from Grandpa and Grandma

My wonderful father and mother (in-law) came for a short visit this past week before leading a marriage retreat for our church. The kids had a great time reading books, running from "tickle bug" (Grandpa Ken) and walking to the park. It was a busy few days and then the four of us and out little chaperon (Benjamin) were off to Newport, Or. leaving the very capable Kaylee and Casey in charge (just 24 hours:)! It was a wonderful retreat and we were all sad to see Grandpa and Grandma journey on to the next leg of their vacation adventure. They were off to Anacortes, Wa. to spend time with their other boys, a father/son trip and a 10 day grandbaby watching as Aaron and Ami head to Hawaii! I know they'll enjoy every minute of it! We, on the other hand, came home to a grand sight... a quiet, peaceful home with kiddos bathed and ready for church the next day, candles glowing and smiling, cheerful faces to welcome us home! It wasn't long before they herded us to the couch to watch a delightful homemade movie of their weekend adventures! I hope to post it for you to enjoy also but have been having some technical difficulties. Stay tuned for a homemade, fun Bryant family movie coming your way soon:)!

Cousin Fall Fun!

We had another fun weekend with Aaron and Ami as they traveled back from their Yosemite vacation towards home. The cousins enjoyed going to the park, playing outside fall games and a wonderful show put on by Aaron, Kaylee, Casey and Brooklyn! I was blessed by a wonderful dinner and dessert made by my wonderful sister (in-law) Ami! Thanks for coming, Aaron and family!

Daddy Adventures

What a weekend... Scott did his first funeral/celebration service, we had another wonderful short visit with Aaron and Ami and had our normal Sunday services and leadership potluck. Today, Scott is privileged to bring home Grandpa Ken and Grandma Carol from the Portland airport as they arrive to host a marriage retreat for our church this weekend in Newport, Or and then head up to Washington to spend time with their other boys and family. So, knowing that we had one day of break in between, we decided to head up into the mountains over to my favorite little town in Sisters, Or. With a few stops along the way to stretch our legs and enjoy some beautiful waterfalls, we had a wonderful family day! We sure miss having Michael with us but are so excited to see God at work in his life at Bible College! Since I can't bring you all along with us for the hike, I hope you enjoy the pictures of the majestic Sahalie waterfalls!

Just Dreaming...

The hope of a new home...one acre, 10 minutes from our church, affordable because it is a manufactured home, 100% fenced to keep littles safe, an acre tucked away behind another acre with a long driveway, room for the children to play, learn and run, a shed the size of a one car garage, a large work shop complete with wood stove to be a converted game room with pool/ping pong table, black top for bike rides and basketball games, a wheel chair ramp turned tricycle heaven:), a large, landscaped yard with several trees, perfect spot for a volleyball court with surrounding trees to keep the ball in our yard, a mini farm with red barn, chicken coop, fencing and pasture, a large deer-fenced garden, wood already gathered and loaded, riding lawn mowers included, a large open floor plan complete with wood stove all on a slice of Missouri, with a taste of Colorado! The only thing missing is all of you for our neighbors! These are the hopes and dreams of the home that we are in escrow with! Like anything, the list includes only the hopes. I know all to well that there will also be spiders to avoid, chores left undone, rooms for tantrum toddlers, weeds growing in the garden and skinned knees on the blacktop. But we are eager to settle in and make a home here where the Lord is working in our life. With a country road and farm lifestyle similar to our life in Missouri and the evergreen trees similar to Colorado, we are reminded of the dear memories and friends that remain in our constant thoughts and prayers from years gone by! Yet, we walk forward with hope and confirmation of our ministry and life here in Oregon. The Lord has already done some miraculous things to confirm this home for our family like selling our travel trailer that we purchased earlier this summer for part of our down payment. We remain in prayer for God to continue to open or close this opportunity during this escrow process. We would love your prayers also.

Casey Turns 15!

We had a great time celebrating the life of our Casey Scott! After a special breakfast outing with dad, we showered Casey with a few birthday gifts (he got a rain jacket:), went to the park as a family and had birthday dinner and cake. I love the picture below showing Casey collecting his breath to blow out his candles while Mesa is spending her time already blowing! So...he had a little help blowing them out even before he started! We love you Casey! We 're praying God's blessing for another year of life!

Our Homemade Pinata

Casey Scott turned 15 on Sunday! Kaylee was very creative and made a homemade pinata for some birthday fun! She took an oatmeal container, cream cheese container and made a "piggy" pinata. We all thought it was the BEST invention ever because after it was hit hard enough to pop the lid open causing the candy to overflow, we could refill the oatmeal tub belly and have another round of blindfolded fun! This insured that all the kiddos got a turn to hit! I think this might become a Bryant birthday tradition of unlimited fun!
