16 and sweet!

Kaylee turned sweet 16 on Saturday! I had the privilege of keeping her all to myself as this time, we went on a mommy adventure! Our family surprised her with an overnight stay just me and her (oh, and our little chaperon, Benjamin:) We laughed, scrap booked, watched a "girls" movie, sat in the spa, did our hair and make up and just enjoyed our time together! After heading to the mall for a little shopping, we met up with two of the most important men in her life for dinner, her brother and Dad! We have a newlywed couple in our church who graciously agreed to come play with the littles so we could have the rare opportunity of having us "older" ones all together! Then we headed home for presents and cake as a family. It was a blessed time, one I know we both will treasure for a lifetime! As she would say, the only thing missing from the weekend was a surprise visit from her older brother Michael whom she misses terribly! In addition to her wish, I longed for a night where time stood still, for it's all happening so fast! Happy Birthday, Kaylee! May you keep growing into the lovely, Godly young woman you are becoming right before our very eyes!

You're going to have a hard time finding someone good enough for that girl. What a sweet face.
