My wonderful father and mother (in-law) came for a short visit this past week before leading a marriage retreat for our church. The kids had a great time reading books, running from "tickle bug" (Grandpa Ken) and walking to the park. It was a busy few days and then the four of us and out little chaperon (Benjamin) were off to Newport, Or. leaving the very capable Kaylee and Casey in charge (just 24 hours:)! It was a wonderful retreat and we were all sad to see Grandpa and Grandma journey on to the next leg of their vacation adventure. They were off to Anacortes, Wa. to spend time with their other boys, a father/son trip and a 10 day grandbaby watching as Aaron and Ami head to Hawaii! I know they'll enjoy every minute of it! We, on the other hand, came home to a grand sight... a quiet, peaceful home with kiddos bathed and ready for church the next day, candles glowing and smiling, cheerful faces to welcome us home! It wasn't long before they herded us to the couch to watch a delightful homemade movie of their weekend adventures!
