A Day at the Lake

I absolutely loved our time at Cottage Grove Lake. It was a beautiful fall day with crisp cool air. Casey brought his handmade boat, made out of trash bags, boxes and 2 litter bottles. Summit especially enjoyed the boat. We played in the playground, picked fresh blackberries, walked along the lake, found a tree swing to swing on, and just enjoyed some down time. I think it was one of my favorite places that we've been to yet in Oregon especially with the huge evergreen trees surrounding the lake. We enjoyed the calm before the storm as we went straight from here to the wedding rehearsal, wedding day, church and short visit from Aaron and Ami. What a wonderful weekend full of busy responsibilities and quiet family moments!
